About Wilson4Q
The Science of Emotional Fitness — And the 30 Years Behind It.
Wilson4Q exists because the most important capacity in human performance was never measured. Physical conditioning, nutrition, and mental health all have data. The inner capacities that decide whether any of it sticks — emotional regulation, self-compassion, the ability to delay gratification — were left to feeling. We built the framework, the measurement, and the intelligence layer that finally close that gap.
Our Founder
Wilson4Q was founded by Janice Taylor — Harvard Master's candidate in Psychology, three-time tech founder, and inventor of the Science of Emotional Fitness. Janice grew up surrounded by adversity and refused to accept the limits set by her circumstances. That refusal became a 30-year obsession with the root causes of emotional pain, and eventually the foundation of the world's first measurable framework for emotional health.
Her career has taken her from child protection advocacy that shaped laws in both Canada and the U.S., to stages alongside Oprah Winfrey's Ultimate Viewers, to being appointed Honorary Captain of the Royal Canadian Navy by the Prime Minister of Canada. She is the inventor of Wilson AI — the on-device intelligence platform now being deployed across professional sports leagues, youth athletic programs, and the global wellness industry.

The Problem We Solve
Despite heavy investment in physical conditioning and mental health services, core emotional capacities are rarely measured, trained, or systematically developed. The absence of this training fuels preventable breakdowns in performance, accelerates burnout, fractures organizational culture, and shortens careers — across professional sports, corporate leadership, and community life. In today's high-pressure environments, overlooking emotional fitness is no longer just a personal cost. It is a human and economic liability.
Our Method
The Wilson4Q method translates decades of developmental psychology, neuroscience, and behavioral science into a structured, repeatable discipline. It rests on four pillars:
The Science of Emotional Pain
An interdisciplinary body of research from psychology, neuroscience, and behavioral science explaining how early emotional injuries shape lifelong behavior, relationships, and performance — the foundation every Wilson4Q measurement is built on.
Two Core Emotional Injuries
Delayed gratification (the ability to tolerate discomfort and invest in long-term goals) and empathy of the self (the capacity to attune and respond to one's own needs). Train these at the root and downstream resilience, regulation, and intelligence follow.
A 12-Step Trainable Framework
Decades of research operationalized into a phased curriculum — assessments, guided practice, and integration. Emotional fitness becomes a discipline you can train, the way a body is trained.
Measured by Wilson AI
Wilson4Q is the intelligence layer: digital assessments, personalized programs, integration with wearables and performance data, and coach dashboards that align individual growth with measurable outcomes.
Why It Matters
For individuals, the method produces stronger resilience, healthier relationships, and a higher capacity for meaning-making. For organizations, it produces smarter recruitment, higher retention, and optimized pipelines of talent and leadership. For markets, it offers a scalable, evidence-based solution to the emotional wellness crisis that integrates seamlessly with existing physical and mental health infrastructure — a new category of human optimization where emotional fitness is finally trainable and measurable.
